Appear to use extra effort to breathe (e.g. chest or abdominal heaving)?
Show blue-tinged gums or tongue (cyanosis)?
Seem anxious or restless during sleep due to breathing difficulty?
Exercise and Activity Tolerance - During or after physical activity (e.g. walking, playing), does your dog:
Tire very quickly compared to other dogs?
Lie down or refuse to walk mid-activity?
Have noticeably louder or more laboured breathing during or after exercise?
Take a long time to recover from mild exertion (panting for >10 minutes)?
Collapse or become weak or wobbly during or after walks?
Become distressed or show signs of panic?
Digestive Signs - Does your dog exhibit any of the following:
Regurgitation (bringing up undigested food shortly after eating)?
Vomiting (forceful expulsion of stomach contents)?
Difficulty swallowing (frequent gulping, food falling from mouth)?
In warm or humid weather, does your dog:
Breathe heavily or pant excessively even while resting indoors?
